Design and Graphics

The graphic composition incorporates classic promotional taglines of the era, such as "Properly Aged In The Brewery Cellars" and "Famous For Quality," framed by clean mid-century layout aesthetics. The label was designed for strong shelf appeal across regional retail outlets.

Production Variations and Collector Context

In the collecting community, the 9-0-5 line is appreciated as a prominent example of mid-century private-label contract brewing in the Midwest. Known variations exist across different manufacturing batches, showing subtle changes in mandatory brewery statements, slogan placement, and can maker stamps. Representing a period when regional store brands competed side-by-side with national mainstays, this can remains a key piece of Chicago's industrial brewing history.
