ABC Premium Ale 12 Oz Tab Top Can

ABC Premium Ale from August Wagner

The ABC Premium Ale 12-ounce straight steel can represents a classic regional offering from August Wagner Breweries, based in Columbus, Ohio. Founded by German immigrant August Wagner, the brewery served as a cornerstone of the central Ohio brewing scene, producing localized brands such as Augustiner and Gambrinus alongside regional labelings under the ABC moniker.

Manufactured with straight steel construction and fitted with a tab top lid, this 12-ounce container features the bold ABC branding prominently across the label. Due to shifting regional distribution and brand licensing across mid-century brewing operations, variations of ABC cans were packaged by different facilities, making the Columbus, Ohio August Wagner line a notable fixture of Midwestern breweriana. Collectors of Ohio brewing history and vintage steel beverage cans prize this item as an authentic artifact from one of Columbus's historic independent breweries.
