Altes Golden Lager Beer 12 Oz Tab Top Can

Altes Golden Lager Three-City Can

Originally established as a flagship Midwestern brand by Detroit's Tivoli Brewing Company, Altes transitioned into the portfolio of The National Brewing Company of Baltimore, Maryland. Under National's stewardship, the regional favorite was integrated into a multi-plant packaging and distribution network spanning across the country.

This 12-ounce aluminum tab top container features traditional Altes branding and heraldic motifs set against metallic accents. A defining detail of this release is the three-city mandatory text printed on the side panel, identifying Baltimore, Maryland alongside National's facilities in Miami, Florida and Phoenix, Arizona. This multi-city mandatory reflects an era of industry consolidation when larger regional brewers acquired legacy labels and expanded their geographic manufacturing footprint.

For collectors, this can represents an interesting cross-regional piece that bridges historic Detroit brewing roots with Baltimore brewing management. Known variations exist across different manufacturing runs, showcasing subtle differences in mandatory text layout, font positioning, and can manufacturer stamps.
