American Dry Extra Premium Lager Beer Flat Top Can

American Dry Flat Top Overview

The American Dry Extra Premium Lager Beer flat top can is a mid-century release from the Eastern Brewing Corporation of Hammonton, New Jersey. Eastern Brewing Corp. was a prominent East Coast regional brewery operating from its North Washington Street facility, well known among breweriana enthusiasts for producing a vast catalog of contract brews, house labels, and private-label distribution lines.

Brewery Heritage and Production

Operating out of Hammonton, Eastern Brewing Corp. served regional beverage distributors and supermarket chains throughout the Mid-Atlantic and New England. The American Dry line served as one of the brewery's staple value-oriented offerings. These cans were manufactured with the American Can Company's iconic "Keglined" process.

Label Variations and Collector Interest

For breweriana collectors, American Dry flat top cans offer several points of interest:

• Distributor Imprints: Variations exist that carry specific distribution markings, such as cans packed specifically for Silver Bros., Inc. of Manchester, New Hampshire, alongside versions that omit third-party distributor text.
• Lid and Mandatory Text Variations: Depending on the market destination, examples can be found featuring state tax stamp lids, such as mandatory Virginia tax markings, as well as differing alcohol statement disclosures.
• Graphic Design: The label features classic mid-century commercial art, balancing the "American Dry" script with crisp geometric framing and prominent "Extra Premium Lager" text.

As the primary packaging brewery in Hammonton during its operating era, Eastern Brewing Corporation's cans remain enduring collector favorites representing mid-century American regional brewing history.
