Argonaut The Light Beer Flat Top Can

Argonaut Light Beer Flat Top

The Argonaut The Light Beer Flat Top Can was issued by the Arizona Brewing Company of Phoenix, Arizona. While the brewery was best known across the desert Southwest for its flagship A-1 brand, it also packaged and distributed Argonaut as a specialized light beer offering.

The can face highlights bold mid-century typography with the Argonaut banner prominently displayed, paired with promotional text stating that the beverage was brewed with spring water. Manufactured using the American Can Company's "Keglined" process, the side panel features the classic oval trademark along with brewery mandatory text attributing production to the Phoenix plant.

Among breweriana collectors, cans from Arizona Brewing Company are prized regional artifacts due to the company's localized southwestern distribution. Variations exist across different production runs, exhibiting minor differences in side-panel layout, canning marks, and regulatory statements. The can remains an important chapter in Arizona's twentieth-century industrial brewing history.
