Armanetti Premium Beer Flat Top Can

Armanetti Premium Beer Flat Top

The Armanetti Premium Beer flat top can is a vintage house-brand container produced for Armanetti, an established liquor and beverage store chain in the Chicagoland area. To supply its retail stores with proprietary products, Armanetti partnered with local brewing operations to produce private-label beers under the retailer's banner.

This 12-ounce flat top carries mandatory attribution to the Gold Brau Brewing Company of Chicago, Illinois. Gold Brau operated as a branch or trade name associated with Chicago's Canadian Ace Brewing Company, supplying store-branded beers across the region.

Within breweriana circles, this specific version is recognized by its label text formatting, which omits the "BREWED AND PACKED BY..." phrasing found on alternative printings. Discrepancies in mandatory text and canning layout across different production batches highlight the shifting packaging standards of mid-century contract brewing in Chicago.
