Arrow 77 The Globe's Finest Beer 12 Oz Tab Top Can

Arrow 77 Cumberland Production

Arrow 77 "The Globe's Finest Beer" represents a pivotal transition period in Maryland brewing history. While Arrow Beer had long served as the flagship label for The Globe Brewing Company in Baltimore, corporate restructuring in the 1960s prompted a major shift. Production of the brand was relocated west to the Cumberland Brewing Company in Cumberland, Maryland, while the original Baltimore facility ceased brewing operations and was repurposed for distribution.

Because of this change in manufacturing facilities, these cans bear the Cumberland mandatory imprint rather than the traditional Baltimore brewery address. The can face features the classic bold "Arrow 77" emblem prominently displayed alongside the slogan "The Globe's Finest Beer".

Manufactured by the American Can Company, known variations exist across different production runs, featuring differences in canning marks and lid configurations. As a tangible record marking the twilight era of the Globe brand and the broader consolidation of regional breweries throughout the mid-Atlantic, this Cumberland-produced can holds a distinct place in Maryland breweriana history.
