Arrow 77 The Globe's Finest Beer 12 Oz Zip/Tab Top Can

Arrow 77 Cumberland Can Overview

The Arrow 77 "The Globe's Finest Beer" 12 oz can represents an important transitional chapter in Maryland brewing history. The Arrow brand was long anchored in Baltimore under the Globe Brewing Company, but production was later relocated to Cumberland, Maryland. Under this arrangement, brewing operations took place in Cumberland while Globe maintained distribution facilities.

Because of this production shift, cans from this era feature the Cumberland, Maryland brewery mandatory line rather than the traditional Baltimore designation. Produced by the American Can Company, the container features the classic Arrow 77 insignia alongside the promotional banner proclaiming it "The Globe's Finest Beer".

Collectors of Mid-Atlantic breweriana closely track these cans due to the geographic change printed on the label. Variations exist across different manufacturing runs, showcasing slight differences in mandatory text and lid configurations from the self-opening era.
