Associated Brand Lager Beer Cone Top Can

Associated Brand Lager Cone Top

The Associated Brand Lager Beer cone top represents an intriguing chapter in the portfolio of the Aztec Brewing Company of San Diego, California [PerQueryResult('1.1.2', '1.1.4')]. Originally founded in Mexicali, Mexico, during American Prohibition, Aztec relocated north to San Diego's Logan Heights neighborhood following Repeal, quickly becoming one of the largest commercial brewing enterprises in Southern California [PerQueryResult('1.1.3', '1.1.7')].

While Aztec is widely recognized for flagship offerings like A.B.C. Beer, the brewery also packaged various regional and contracted labels, including Associated Brand Lager [PerQueryResult('1.1.2', '1.1.4')]. Produced in partnership with the Continental Can Company, this 12-ounce container carried the required federal Internal Revenue Tax Paid statements standard for the era [PerQueryResult('1.1.1', '1.1.3')].

For collectors of Pacific and West Coast breweriana, Associated Brand cans serve as significant historical artifacts from Aztec's independent operating era, prior to the facility's acquisition by the Altes Brewing Company and subsequent closure [PerQueryResult('1.1.3', '1.1.5')]. Label and profile variations exist among documented specimens, reflecting subtle production adjustments over the course of the brewery's packaging operations [PerQueryResult('1.1.1', '1.1.3')].
