Ballentine Premium Lager Beer 12 Oz Tab Top Can

Pearl-Brewed Ballentine Lager Can

The Ballentine Premium Lager Beer 12 oz tab top can from the Pearl Brewing Company in San Antonio, Texas, represents a fascinating chapter in the era of American brewing consolidation. Originally established in Newark, New Jersey, the heritage brand became widely recognized for its iconic three interlocking rings representing "Purity, Body, Flavor." Following corporate acquisitions under the S&P umbrella—which brought together Falstaff, General Brewing, and Pearl Brewing—production of the brand was distributed across several regional facilities, including Pearl's historic San Antonio brewery.

Historical Context & Collector Significance

For breweriana enthusiasts, this can serves as a notable crossover piece. While the brand is traditionally associated with the East Coast brewing scene, the mandatory text identifying the Pearl Brewing Company of San Antonio, Texas, anchors it directly within Lone Star State brewing history. S&P often utilized Pearl's capacity to package and distribute nationally recognized labels, turning what was once a regional Northeast favorite into a multi-facility production line.
