Becker's Mellow Beer Flat Top Can

Denver's Becker's Mellow Flat Top

Originally established by the Becker Products Company of Ogden, Utah, the Becker's Mellow brand found an additional home when it was canned by the historic Tivoli Brewing Company in Denver, Colorado. Operating out of its landmark brewery in Denver's Auraria neighborhood, Tivoli served as a dominant regional brewer in the Rocky Mountain West and packaged Becker's Mellow to supply regional markets.

Breweriana Significance

For collectors focusing on Western brewing history, this flat top can marks an intriguing crossover between two prominent regional brewing legacies. While the Becker's name is closely tied to Utah's brewing heritage, cans carrying the Tivoli Brewing Co. Denver mandatory text are sought after by collectors of Colorado breweriana. Tivoli's long-standing operation in Denver makes its packaged containers an integral part of mid-20th-century commercial canning history in the American West.

Design and Variations

The can features classic mid-century commercial styling, emphasizing prominent Becker's lettering and bold color blocking designed for immediate shelf recognition. Several variations exist among known examples, distinguished by slight changes in can manufacturer marks, bottom lid configurations, and mandatory text placements across different production runs.
