Big Apple Premium Beer 12 Oz Tab/Insert Top Can

Big Apple Premium Beer Overview

Big Apple Premium Beer is a classic regional label associated with the Waukee Brewing Company, a trade name used by the Eastern Brewing Corporation of Hammonton, New Jersey. The Eastern Brewing facility was widely recognized within the brewing industry for maintaining an extensive roster of assumed business names and contract labels, allowing the brewery to service diverse markets and distributor networks across the Mid-Atlantic and Northeast.

Design and Collectibility

The can's visual presentation centers on bold typography and stylized apple imagery, drawing aesthetic inspiration from the classic nickname of the New York metropolitan region. The vibrant graphic treatment makes it an attractive centerpiece among collectors focused on New Jersey brewing history, mid-century advertising, and East Coast regional labels.

Production Variations and Legacy

During its manufacturing run, variations of the Big Apple label were produced, exhibiting minor differences in graphic layout, mandatory text placement, and manufacturer markings. The Hammonton facility's practice of marketing through various DBA identities, including Waukee Brewing Company, has made cans bearing this specific imprint a notable subject of study for breweriana enthusiasts tracing the history of contract packaging and regional beverage distribution.
