Bilow Garden State Premium Beer

The Bilow Garden State Premium Beer can represents an interesting chapter in the contract brewing portfolio of the Walter Brewing Company of Eau Claire, Wisconsin.

Collector Series and Heritage

During the peak of the breweriana hobby movement, regional breweries frequently partnered with enthusiast organizations, distributors, and private labels to produce specialty commemorative cans. The Walter Brewing Company became widely recognized in the collecting community for producing these specialized short-run cans. The Bilow Garden State line was commissioned primarily for collectors and regional enthusiast events, frequently tied to East Coast swap meets and collecting chapters celebrating New Jersey and surrounding areas.

Design and Variations

The can features bold typography and iconography celebrating the "Garden State". Because these cans were produced to cater directly to hobbyists, the brewery released different iterations featuring subtle design modifications, including adjustments to text placement, mandatory brewery statements, and alternate color schemes. Finding and assembling all of the different variations remains a popular focus for enthusiasts dedicated to collecting Walter Brewing products and East Coast commemorative issues.
