Black Label Class Of '46 Dartmouth Indians 25th Reunion Can

Dartmouth Class of '46 Reunion Can

The Black Label Class of '46 Dartmouth Indians 25th Reunion Can was custom-brewed and packaged by the Carling Brewing Company at its Natick, Massachusetts facility for alumni attending the Dartmouth College Class of 1946 25th reunion.

During this era, Carling's Natick plant established a tradition of producing specialty commemorative cans for New England collegiate gatherings and Ivy League class reunions. These limited-run cans were distributed directly to class members and guests during reunion festivities in Hanover, New Hampshire.

The can's design prominently highlights the 25th milestone alongside the Dartmouth Indians moniker and collegiate motifs, integrated with the classic House of Carling crest and Black Label insignia. Because these were produced strictly for reunion attendees rather than commercial retail shelves, they represent a distinct crossover between collegiate memorabilia and regional breweriana.

Collector interest is bolstered by the can's place in Carling's series of collegiate issues. Examples are known to exist across different lid configurations, including souvenir coin-bank versions created around the event.
