Bohemian Club Lager Beer 12 Oz Tab Top Can

Jos. Huber Bohemian Club Lager Can

The Bohemian Club Lager Beer can represents an era of regional Midwestern packaging from the Jos. Huber Brewing Company in Monroe, Wisconsin. Founded originally in 1845, the historic Monroe plant operated for decades as one of the oldest continuous brewing sites in the United States, earning a prominent reputation among breweriana enthusiasts for its extensive portfolio of heritage labels and regional offerings.

The Bohemian Club brand was one of several classic regional labels canned by Jos. Huber. The can showcases traditional Bohemian-inspired graphics alongside factory mandatories crediting the Monroe, Wisconsin facility. Huber utilized straight-steel body construction for this run, featuring clean typography and lithographed color accents highlighting the lager designation.

Among breweriana collectors, Huber cans from this period are valued for their connection to Wisconsin's resilient brewing heritage. While many independent regional breweries across the Midwest consolidated or shut down during major industry shifts, the Monroe facility remained an active regional powerhouse by continuing to produce regional lines such as Bohemian Club alongside other localized staples.

Collectors have documented graphic differences, including minor text alignment and seam placement shifts across different canning runs. Because the brewery periodically updated printing plates and canning specifications throughout its operational history, the label serves as an important entry in collections dedicated to historic Wisconsin breweriana.
