Bohemian Club Old Fashioned Lager Bock 12 Oz Tab Top Can

Potosi Bohemian Club Bock Can

The Bohemian Club Old Fashioned Lager Bock 12 oz tab top can is a regional breweriana collectible produced by the historic Potosi Brewing Company in Potosi, Wisconsin. Marketed under the Bohemian Brewing Company entity—an alternate trade name utilized by Potosi—this can represents the brewery's seasonal bock offering within the Bohemian Club product line.

Brewery Heritage

Founded in 1852 in Grant County near the Mississippi River, the Potosi Brewing Company grew to become one of Wisconsin's major independent regional brewing operations. Alongside its flagship Potosi labels, the company produced several distinct branded lines, including Alpine, Holiday, and Bohemian Club. While the flagship Bohemian Club lager had broader distribution, the Old Fashioned Lager Bock was a seasonal specialty brewed in more limited volume, making surviving cans especially prized among Wisconsin breweriana collectors.

Potosi holds a prominent status in beer collecting history. The historic brewery facility was revived as a community foundation and is now home to the National Brewery Museum, which showcases historical American breweriana and canning history in partnership with the American Breweriana Association.

Labeling and Manufacturing

The face of the can highlights the Bohemian Club branding alongside "Old Fashioned Lager Bock" lettering, reflecting the traditional Midwestern style of mid-century seasonal bocks. Known variations exist across different manufacturing runs, showcasing subtle differences in seam construction and brewery mandatory text.
