Brucks Jubilee Beer Quart Can

Brucks Jubilee Beer Quart Can

The Brucks Jubilee Beer quart can was produced by The Bruckmann Co. in Cincinnati, Ohio. Bruckmann was one of Cincinnati's historic brewing institutions, founded in the Cumminsville neighborhood. The brewery earned a prominent place in local brewing history as one of the few regional operations to successfully survive Prohibition by manufacturing near-beer and cereal beverages before resuming full brewing operations.

The Jubilee moniker was introduced as part of the brewery's celebratory branding to highlight its heritage, serving as a prominent label alongside Jubilee Ale. Packaged in a 32-ounce format manufactured by Crown Cork & Seal, the Brucks Jubilee quart allowed the regional brewery to utilize existing bottling and capping machinery while offering consumers a larger volume for home sharing.

For breweriana collectors, the Brucks Jubilee quart is particularly desirable due to the relative scarcity of large-format cans compared to standard 12-ounce containers. The cans feature bold lithography with the classic Brucks script and celebratory graphics.

Over the course of its production, the can was issued in several known variations. These variations include differences in mandatory text panels, such as Internal Revenue Tax Paid (IRTP) statements, as well as distinct alcohol content markings required for distribution across state lines. Surviving examples are prized at specialized auctions as significant artifacts representing Cincinnati's mid-century brewing legacy.
