Budweiser Lager Beer 12 Oz Tab Top Can

Budweiser Los Angeles Tab Top Can

The Budweiser Lager Beer 12 oz tab top can produced by Anheuser-Busch in Los Angeles, California, represents a cornerstone piece of West Coast macro-brewery packaging history. Packaged at Anheuser-Busch's facility in the San Fernando Valley's Van Nuys district—a sprawling complex celebrated for its regional packaging operations as well as the adjacent Busch Gardens theme park attraction—this container served the rapidly expanding Pacific distribution market.

Graphic Design and Label Elements

The can displays the timeless Budweiser label architecture:

• The signature red, white, and blue color palette centered across the main face.
• The historic Anheuser-Busch "A and Eagle" trademark medallion and traditional Budweiser script.
• The guarantee creed detailing the brewer's beechwood aging process.
• Mandatory side-panel text specifying Los Angeles, California among the listed brewing hubs.

Packaging Features and Collector Study

For breweriana enthusiasts, cans carrying the Los Angeles mandatory designation offer rich avenues for cataloging:

• Mandatory Text Configurations: As Anheuser-Busch expanded its brewing footprint across the country, side-panel mandatory text evolved. Collectors actively document various multi-city configurations that incorporate Los Angeles alongside other national packaging facilities.
• Can Construction and Maker Marks: Production spans both three-piece soldered steel bodies and lightweight aluminum compositions. Packaging runs display different manufacturer stamps from major can fabricators such as American Can Company, Continental Can Company, and Crown Cork & Seal, with varying seam profiles.
• Tab Details: Subtle distinctions exist across different production runs, including custom stamping on the pull mechanisms displaying insignias like the "A and Eagle" emblem.

This regional issue remains a primary reference piece for collectors documenting the evolution of national brand packaging and West Coast industrial brewing.
