This 12-ounce crimped steel tab top can was produced in association with the Southern Group Chapter of the Beer Can Collectors of America (BCCA). Featuring nine brewing cities listed within the brewery mandatory text, the can displays a bold, all-text promotional message: "The Southern Group Chapter invites all beer can lovers to Space City, U.S.A. Don't knock the can - Bring it to Houston in 1977." During the height of the 1970s breweriana boom, regional collector chapters frequently partnered with major breweries to produce special promotional cans to rally support for hosting upcoming national CANventions and celebrate local collector gatherings.

Budweiser was first introduced in 1876 by Adolphus Busch and merchant Carl Conrad.
