Burger Beer 12 Oz Tab Top Can

Hudepohl Burger Beer Tab Top

The Burger Beer 12 oz tab top can produced under the Hudepohl Brewing Company name highlights an important chapter in Cincinnati breweriana. Burger Brewing Company was originally one of the most prominent regional breweries in the Ohio Valley, building widespread local loyalty through regional distribution and long-standing sponsorships of Cincinnati Reds baseball broadcasts. Following the closure of Burger's independent operations, Hudepohl acquired the brand portfolio and recipes, repositioning Burger Beer as an accessible value-tier offering produced at Hudepohl's facility in Cincinnati, Ohio.

The can design preserves the recognizable Burger typography and red-and-white color motif adapted for Hudepohl production lines. The graphic layout incorporates metallic accents alongside mandatory text that explicitly identifies Hudepohl Brewing Company as the brewer, firmly tying the can to its Queen City roots.

For breweriana collectors, this container represents a tangible record of late-twentieth-century brewery consolidation in the Midwest. Variations exist across production runs, featuring subtle differences in metallic base finishes, label shading, seam lines, statutory mandatory text placement, and the later introduction of metric volume markings or universal product codes. It serves as a celebrated piece documenting the survival and heritage of a classic Cincinnati brand.
