Burger Light Beer Flat Top Can

Cincinnati's Burger Light Flat Top

The Burger Light Beer flat top can is a staple artifact from the Burger Brewing Company of Cincinnati, Ohio. Emerging from Cincinnati's historic brewing district, Burger established itself as one of the Queen City's most recognizable regional breweries.

Burger promoted its lineup heavily through regional sports, most famously as the longtime exclusive sponsor of Cincinnati Reds radio broadcasts alongside Hall of Fame pitcher and broadcaster Waite Hoyt. The Burger Light flat top can reflects this prominent marketing era, featuring the brand's signature red oval emblem framed by metallic gold trim and clean white backgrounds. Many cans from this run also prominently display the brewery's famous "Sparkle Brewed" advertising slogan.

Variations of the Burger Light flat top exist in the hobby, with differences primarily centered around the gold trim outlining the red oval, variations in mandatory regulatory text, and can manufacturer stamps from producers such as the local Heekin Can Company and other container manufacturers.

Burger's brewing heritage remains closely tied to the Cincinnati brewing landscape, and the Burger Light flat top stands as a quintessential piece of mid-century Midwestern breweriana.
