Burger Light Beer Flat Top Can

Burger Light Beer Flat Top Can

The Burger Light Beer flat top can was produced by the Burger Brewing Company of Cincinnati, Ohio. Originating from a family malting business established in the late nineteenth century, Burger transitioned into brewing following the repeal of Prohibition and quickly grew into one of the Queen City's most prominent regional brewing powerhouses.

The brewery established an enduring cultural legacy across the Ohio River Valley, famously recognized for its regional slogan, "Vas You Efer in Zinzinnati?", and its long-running sponsorship of Cincinnati Reds baseball broadcasts anchored by Hall of Fame broadcaster Waite Hoyt. Burger was also among the earliest breweries in Cincinnati to package beer in cans, securing a major presence in mid-century retail distribution.

Visually, the Burger Light Beer flat top design highlights the brewery's mid-century aesthetic, frequently showcasing the notable "Sparkle Brewed" advertising slogan alongside heraldic crest imagery, bold lettering, and metallic trim. Known variations of this can exist among collectors, featuring differences in mandatory text phrasing, border detailing, and color execution across different production runs. The label remains a cornerstone piece for enthusiasts of Ohio breweriana and classic regional brewing history.
