Brewery Heritage and Plant #2

Following the repeal of Prohibition, the Duquesne Brewing Company quickly grew into one of the largest brewing operations in the region. To scale up production and serve the thriving industrial workforce of the greater Pittsburgh area, Duquesne operated satellite facilities, designating the historic former First National Brewing Company site in Stowe Township as Plant #2. The Carnegie brand, honoring the surrounding industrial region and the neighboring borough, was canned at this facility and distributed primarily across the Tri-State market.
