Champagne Velvet Gold Label Beer Flat Top Can

Chicago CV Gold Label Flat Top

The Champagne Velvet Gold Label flat top can associated with CV in Chicago, Illinois, represents a notable chapter in mid-century Midwest breweriana. Originally established as the flagship brand of the Terre Haute Brewing Company—widely known for promoting the trademarked slogan "The Beer with the Million Dollar Flavor"—the Champagne Velvet label expanded across regional facilities, including canning operations credited to CV in Chicago.

The lithography showcases the traditional arched Champagne Velvet script set over a prominent metallic gold label centerpiece. Designed for striking shelf presence, the graphic layout incorporates decorative crests and mid-century industrial can lithography.

For breweriana collectors, cans bearing the Chicago mandatory text hold distinct appeal within collections focused on Illinois brewing history and Champagne Velvet lineage. Label enthusiasts appreciate the historical context of the CV mark, and variations exist regarding background coloration tones, plant mandatory text lines, and canning manufacturer markings.
