Champagne Velvet Gold Label Beer Flat Top Can

Terre Haute's Color Series Can

The Champagne Velvet Gold Label flat top can from the Terre Haute Brewing Company of Terre Haute, Indiana, represents one of the most celebrated mid-century releases from the Hoosier State. Terre Haute Brewing Company made Champagne Velvet its flagship brand, heavily promoting it under the iconic slogan "The Beer with the Million Dollar Flavor."

For breweriana collectors, the Gold Label flat top is particularly famous for its role in Terre Haute's multi-color promotional run. Rather than sticking to a single graphic palette, the brewery distributed these cans in several distinct background color variations, including shades of purple, green, light blue, and blue-grey. These alternating hues were designed to create an attractive, rainbow-like presentation on retail shelves during the height of the mid-century canned beer market.

Manufactured with American Can Company's "Keglined" construction, the graphic design prominently showcases the arched Champagne Velvet script, gold metallic framing, and decorative crests. Because collectors often assemble the full spectrum of color variations to display as a complete set, these cans remain consistently popular centerpiece items in vintage breweriana collections and auctions.
