Colt 45 Stout Malt Liquor 12 Oz Bank Can

Colt 45 Phoenix Stout Bank Can

The Colt 45 Stout Malt Liquor 12 oz Bank Can represents a notable chapter in the history of Carling National Breweries and regional breweriana promotions. Following the merger of the National Brewing Company and Carling Brewing Company, the Phoenix, Arizona brewing facility served as a key production hub for southwestern distribution, issuing regional specialty packaging alongside standard retail lines.

This collectible bank can was manufactured featuring a slotted coin lid, serving as a functional novelty savings bank. Among the most recognized releases in this format are those issued with Phoenix Suns basketball schedules printed directly onto the label, tying the malt liquor brand directly into the local Arizona sports market during a prominent era for the franchise.

The visual design incorporates the signature Colt 45 iconography, prominently displaying the kicking stallion and horseshoe insignia. The label designates the beverage as "Stout Malt Liquor" and carries the Carling National Breweries, Inc. Phoenix, Arizona mandatory markings.

Breweriana enthusiasts recognize multiple variations of this bank can, with differences in sports schedule text, typography, and brewery mandatory phrasing appearing across production runs. Because bank cans were manufactured specifically as promotional keepsakes rather than standard consumer packages, they hold a distinct place in collections dedicated to malt liquor memorabilia and Arizona brewing history.
