Coors Banquet Beer 12 Oz Bank Top Can

Coors Banquet Bank Top Can

Produced by the Adolph Coors Company out of Golden, Colorado, the Coors Banquet 12 oz Bank Top can represents a notable chapter in breweriana advertising and factory-issued memorabilia. Rather than serving as a beverage container filled for standard commercial distribution, bank top cans were produced as specialty promotional coin banks featuring a pre-fabricated coin slot across the top lid.

Coors played a historic role in packaging innovation, pioneering the two-piece aluminum can in the late 1950s. Alongside their regular canning lines, the Golden facility utilized its manufacturing infrastructure to produce novelty coin bank cans for brewery tours, special distributor events, open houses, and souvenir distribution.

The can displays the classic Coors Banquet label, decorated in the traditional buff-and-gold color scheme with the iconic Adolph Coors script logo, cascading mountain stream graphics, and text referencing Pure Rocky Mountain Spring Water. Variations exist across different production runs, showing subtle differences in typography, mandatory text layout, and background coloration.

Because these cans were manufactured directly at the facility as novelty pieces rather than holding liquid, they provide collectors with an authentic piece of factory-authorized promotional history that appeals to both breweriana and coin bank enthusiasts.
