Coors Light Beer 16 Oz Tab/Stay Top Can

The 16 Oz Coors Light Stay Tab Can

Produced by the Adolph Coors Company in Golden, Colorado, the 16-ounce Coors Light tab and stay top can represents an iconic era in modern American breweriana. Following the launch of Coors Light, the metallic silver aesthetic quickly earned the brew the popular nickname "The Silver Bullet". The 16-ounce "tall boy" format provided an expanded alternative to the standard 12-ounce packaging and saw widespread distribution across sporting events, outdoor venues, and retail stores.

Adolph Coors was an industry pioneer in all-aluminum container manufacturing, and this 16-ounce can highlights that ongoing packaging legacy. The exterior design features the classic crimson Coors script over a bright, clean silver backdrop alongside the traditional "Brewed with Pure Rocky Mountain Spring Water" banner.

Among breweriana enthusiasts, this 16-ounce can is noted for manufacturing shifts over its lifespan. Variations exist featuring different state alcohol statements, mandatory government warnings, UPC barcode placements, and variations in recycling slogans. These differences make the can a frequent target for collectors documenting the graphic evolution of the brand's larger aluminum containers.
