Country Club Malt Liquor 16 Oz Tab Top Can

Pearl's 16 Oz Country Club Can

Country Club Malt Liquor holds a foundational place in American brewing history as the brand that propelled malt liquor into nationwide popularity. Originally introduced by the M.K. Goetz Brewing Company before the brewery was acquired by the Pearl Brewing Company of San Antonio, Texas, Country Club served as a flagship label across Pearl's regional and national distribution networks.

This 16-ounce half-quart can reflects Pearl's positioning of the brand under the banner of "America's Premium Malt Liquor". The label prominently features the traditional Country Club heraldic crest, classic script, and clean contrast lines meant to convey an upscale image compared to standard lagers.

For breweriana collectors, cans bearing the Pearl Brewing Company mandatory from San Antonio present several interesting historical details. Because Pearl operated facilities in both San Antonio and St. Joseph, Missouri, production runs produced subtle variations in mandatory text, brewery plant credits, and state-mandated regulatory wording. Known variations also exhibit differences in manufacturer stamps from container suppliers such as the Continental Can Company, variations in top chime profiles, and varying alcohol content statements on the lid or side panel.

Representing the peak era of half-quart malt liquor marketing, this oversized Pearl-brewed Country Club tab top remains an essential artifact of San Antonio brewing heritage and mid-century malt liquor history.
