Country Club Malt Liquor 16 Oz Tab Top Can

Country Club 16 oz Pearl Tab Top

Originally created by the M. K. Goetz Brewing Company as one of the pioneer commercial malt liquors in the United States, Country Club Malt Liquor joined the Pearl Brewing Company portfolio following Pearl's acquisition of Goetz. Under Pearl's stewardship in San Antonio, Texas, the brand received visual refinements that incorporated Pearl's signature triple-X ("XXX") motif into the iconic Country Club crown emblem.

This 16-ounce tab top can represents the larger-format packaging issued by Pearl Brewing Company. Tall 16-ounce half-quart cans were widely utilized for malt liquor brands to cater to consumer demand for larger single-serving containers. The can features the classic Country Club script, heraldic branding elements, and mandatory text identifying the Pearl Brewing Co. in San Antonio, Texas.

For breweriana collectors, Country Club cans from Pearl carry rich historical interest tied to the consolidation of regional American brewing giants. Known variations exist among production runs, exhibiting differences in brewery mandatory text (such as San Antonio standalone listings compared to dual-city credits alongside St. Joseph, Missouri), state-mandated alcohol statement placements, rim profiles, and can seam constructions. The oversized half-quart format and the convergence of the Goetz recipe with Pearl's Texas brewing heritage make this tab top a distinguished addition to malt liquor collections.
