Country Tavern Beer 12 Oz Tab Top Can

Country Tavern Orange Label Can

The Country Tavern Beer 12-ounce tab top can with the orange label was produced by the Pearl Brewing Company in San Antonio, Texas. Created to serve the regional economy and value-tier market across Texas and neighboring southwestern states, Country Tavern gave the San Antonio brewer a competitive offering in the popular discount beer segment.

Brewery Background

Pearl Brewing Company originated in the late nineteenth century as the San Antonio Brewing Association, eventually growing into one of the most prominent regional brewing powerhouses in the American Southwest. Over the decades, Pearl expanded its production capabilities and diversified its product portfolio to include various secondary and value labels alongside its flagship brand. Country Tavern was marketed with a traditional, rustic motif tailored to appeal to casual and budget-minded tavern patrons.

Design and Collector Notes

This version of the Country Tavern can features an aluminum body with an eye-catching orange background label, complemented by traditional tavern-style typography across the main display panel. While Country Tavern cans were produced across different packaging formats, metal compositions, and background colors, this aluminum tab top release stands out among breweriana collectors interested in Pearl's regional brand lineup and Texas canning history.
