Dartmouth Class Of 1929 Tenth Reunion Can

Dartmouth Class of 1929 Reunion

The Dartmouth Class Of 1929 Tenth Reunion Can is a specialized piece of collegiate breweriana created specifically for alumni returning to Hanover for their milestone gathering. Commemorative cans of this nature hold a distinct position in the collecting world, having been commissioned for private campus celebrations and class banquets rather than standard retail distribution.

In keeping with custom commemorative releases of its era, the can lists no commercial brewery name on its label. Private-order alumni cans frequently omitted brewery identification in favor of collegiate imagery, Dartmouth green accents, class numerals, and event-specific iconography. Some examples produced for these campus reunions were also fitted with handles or adapted into souvenir drinking mugs for attendees.

Among breweriana enthusiasts, Ivy League reunion cans—especially those associated with Dartmouth College and Princeton University—represent a dedicated collecting niche. Because these cans were distributed exclusively to alumni in restricted quantities, they remain prized additions for collectors specializing in institutional issues and non-brewery commemorative cans.
