Del Dia Malta Malta 12 Oz Tab Top Can

Eastern Brewing's Del Dia Malta

Produced by the Eastern Brewing Corporation in Hammonton, New Jersey, the Del Dia Malta straight steel tab top can represents a notable chapter in East Coast contract brewing and specialty beverage distribution. Eastern Brewing established itself as a versatile regional facility, packaging an extensive variety of private labels and niche brands aimed at diverse markets across the Mid-Atlantic and Caribbean trade networks.

Del Dia was marketed to meet the demand for Caribbean-style malt beverages, with the can face featuring dedicated captioning referencing Puerto Rico. Eastern Brewing produced several distinct malta labels during this period, positioning the brewery as a key domestic manufacturer for this beverage category.

Among can collectors, Del Dia is recognized for its vibrant graphics and two-sided display layout. Variations are known to exist within the canning runs, displaying differences in background blue color tones along with revisions in the mandatory brewery text and layout. The can serves as an intriguing example of the ethnic and private-label packaging that characterized Eastern Brewing Corporation's Hammonton operations.
