Collector Insights and Variations

Within breweriana collecting circles, cans from the Christ. Diehl Brewing Company are prized artifacts of Ohio's independent brewing era. Variations exist across production runs, featuring differences in mandatory text styling, patent phrasing, alcohol content statements, and Internal Revenue Tax Paid (IRTP) markings. Related label variations produced by the Defiance plant also include the "Five Star Select" branding. Because the brewery closed in 1955, authentic Diehl cans are confined strictly to this historic period.
