Drewrys Beer 12 Oz Tab Top Can

Heileman Drewrys Beer Can

The Drewrys Beer 12 oz tab top can produced under the G. Heileman Brewing Company banner represents a significant transition in Midwestern brewing history. Originally founded in Canada before establishing a major presence in South Bend, Indiana, Drewrys grew into one of the region's most prominent beer labels. Following corporate acquisitions, Heileman shifted production of the brand to its facility in Evansville, Indiana—a historic site previously operated by Sterling Brewers.

For collectors of brewery packaging, this can stands out as a marker of the consolidation wave that reshaped regional beer production across the Midwest. Drewrys packaging during this era reflected mandatory brewery statements that listed Heileman's manufacturing network, prominently featuring Evansville alongside facilities in Wisconsin, Minnesota, and Kentucky.

Different manufacturing runs produced variations featuring subtle changes in the mandatory city text and side-panel layout. The graphical presentation maintained Drewrys' recognizable brand identity while documenting the production era at the historic Evansville facility.
