Drewrys Extra Dry Beer Pint Can

Drewrys Extra Dry Pint Can

Produced by Drewrys Ltd. U.S.A., Inc. at their prominent South Bend, Indiana brewery, this 16-ounce pint container represents a notable piece of Midwestern brewing history. The South Bend facility originally served as the historic Muessel Brewing complex before being acquired by Canadian brewer E.L. Drewry, who relocated operations to Indiana.

Drewrys established a strong footprint throughout the Midwest and was widely recognized for its bold visual identity, centered around the Canadian Mountie emblem and Gothic lettering. The pint-sized format provided consumers with a half-quart option alongside standard packaging.

During its prime, Drewrys achieved considerable recognition for creative packaging and promotional strategies. The brewery became well-known for producing decorative thematic series cans featuring sports figures, astrology signs, and character analysis charts. On containers produced by the American Can Company, cans filled at the South Bend facility were distinguished by a small "S" maker mark stamped near the seam.

Various versions of the Drewrys Extra Dry pint exist, showcasing subtle text revisions, color shifts, and layout updates made over the course of the brand's manufacturing run in South Bend.
