Durst Premium Quality Beer Flat Top Can

Spokane's Durst Flat Top Can

The Durst Premium Quality Beer flat top can, associated with Atlantic Brewing Co. in Spokane, Washington, holds a notable place in Pacific Northwest breweriana history. While the Atlantic name was widely recognized in Chicago, Bohemian Breweries of Spokane operated under various trade aliases—including Atlantic Brewing Company and Best Brewing Company—to package and distribute regional brands such as Durst.

The graphic presentation features bold Durst typography highlighted alongside classic crest motifs and the "Internationally Famous" slogan. Collectors seeking regional Pacific Northwest items specifically look for the Spokane, Washington mandatory text, which sets these issues apart from Midwest market releases that carried Chicago city designations.

Throughout its production run, several variations were produced across different can manufacturers, including containers manufactured by American Can Company and Continental Can Company. These packaging variations also display differences in factory codes, mandatory text layouts involving single-city versus multiple-city listings, and specialized top lid stampings featuring regional alcohol content statements required by state regulations.

Reflecting an era of corporate aliases and contract-style distribution in Washington brewing history, the Spokane Atlantic iteration of Durst Premium Quality Beer remains a prized subject for specialty flat top collectors.
