Eastern Premium Beer Flat Top Can

Eastern Premium Beer Flat Top Can

The Eastern Premium Beer flat top can features an elaborate wraparound architectural illustration that sets it apart from standard mid-century contract labels. Rendered in crisp blue line art against a white background, the graphic depicts a bustling urban streetscape along Chicago's Michigan Avenue, complete with vintage automobiles driving along the boulevard, street lamps, and prominent architectural landmarks such as the Wrigley Building clock tower and the historic Chicago Water Tower.

Prominently placed on the can's face is a blue oval cartouche with a silver border. Above the bold, italicized brand script is the tagline "Yours for Better Living", a classic mid-century marketing phrase often utilized for value-oriented private labels and regional store distributions.

Produced under Drewry's Ltd. in South Bend, Indiana, this can represents the extensive contract brewing and canning operations maintained by Drewry's and its interconnected Midwest brewing entities during the late 1950s. Known variations of the skyline label exist featuring differing brewery mandatories and city listings, making this Indiana-brewed flat top an intriguing artifact of mid-century urban-themed breweriana.
