Embassy Club Extra Dry Beer Flat Top Can

Embassy Club Flat Top Can

The Embassy Club Extra Dry Beer flat top can was produced by the Metropolis Brewery of N.J., Inc., located in Trenton, New Jersey. Metropolis Brewery, operated by the Hertzberg family, is widely recognized in American brewing history as the production center behind the nationally famous Champale malt liquor. Alongside its flagship specialty beverages, the Trenton facility packaged standard beers and ales under regional labels, marketing Embassy Club as a clean, extra-dry offering.

Lithographed on steel containers supplied by major manufacturers such as the Continental Can Company, the can features classic mid-century graphic design centered around the Embassy Club name and heraldic crest. Over the course of the label's packaging history, collectors have documented variations featuring subtle differences in mandatory brewery text formatting, seam placement, and metallic trim finishes.

As the brewery later reoriented its corporate identity around the Champale brand, the Metropolis-branded packaging runs came to an end. Today, cans bearing the Trenton Metropolis Brewery mandatory imprint represent a significant artifact of New Jersey's mid-twentieth-century regional canning heritage.
