Falstaff Beer Flat Top Can

Falstaff Flat Top: Omaha Plant

The Falstaff Beer flat top can representing the Omaha, Nebraska facility highlights an important chapter in Midwestern brewing history. Falstaff expanded into Omaha in the mid-1930s by acquiring the historic Krug Brewing Company facility, which became designated as Falstaff Plant #3. This facility served as a central distribution and production hub for the brand across the Great Plains for several decades.

Manufactured primarily by the Continental Can Company, this steel flat top can features the traditional red, white, and blue Falstaff crest alongside the classic slogan, "America's Premium Quality Beer." A distinguishing collector hallmark is the Omaha mandatory text printed on the side panel, which often lists Omaha alongside Falstaff's other brewing cities such as St. Louis, New Orleans, San Jose, Fort Wayne, and Galveston.

Collectors actively study the various production variations associated with this regional release. Across different production runs, variations appear in the placement of the Continental Can Company logo, star placements, and canning codes indicating local packaging plants. Certain examples also feature factory-stamped Falstaff vanity top lids carrying the brand emblem, making this Omaha-labeled can a quintessential centerpiece of Great Plains breweriana collections.
