Fountain Brew Export Beer Cone Top Can

Fountain Brew Export Cone Top Can

The Fountain Brew Export Beer cone top can represents a classic piece of Upper Midwest breweriana from the Fountain City Brewing Company (also marked on cans as Fountain Brewing Co.) in Fountain City, Wisconsin. Operating along the bluffs of the Mississippi River, this small-town brewery catered heavily to regional taverns and local river towns, resulting in limited distribution compared to large industrial brewers of the era.

Manufactured by the Continental Can Company, this high-profile can features bold "Fountain Brew" branding and clear "Export Beer" labeling set against a green and white graphic design. Collectors seek out the can for its sharp aesthetic and connection to western Wisconsin's rich brewing heritage.

The Fountain Brew series features variations that interest specialized collectors. These differences appear in the mandatory alcohol statement markings, subtle layout adjustments, and manufacturing plant codes. The Export variation remains an elusive and celebrated find within Midwest breweriana circles.
