Fox Deluxe Beer Cone Top Can

Fox Deluxe Grand Rapids Cone Top

The Fox Deluxe Beer cone top can represents a notable chapter in Michigan brewing history, produced by the Fox Deluxe Brewing Company at its facility on Michigan Street in Grand Rapids. The Chicago-based Peter Fox Brewing Company acquired the historic brewery site—formerly home to the Grand Rapids Brewing Company—to broaden its regional footprint and distribution network across the Midwest.

The can features the recognizable Fox Deluxe brand iconography, showcasing bold lettering, traditional fox motifs, and the prominent brewery mandatory text citing Grand Rapids, Michigan.

Among breweriana collectors, known variations exist across production runs. These variations display subtle differences, including Internal Revenue Tax Paid (IRTP) markings, alcohol statement wording, and container manufacturer stamping from Continental Can Company's Cap-Sealed line. Fox Deluxe from Grand Rapids was packaged in standard twelve-ounce sizing as well as quart containers.

The Grand Rapids brewery site itself became a part of local lore after operations ended; the heavily fortified industrial building briefly served as municipal parking for city vehicles before being taken down to make way for modern state office developments.
