Fox Deluxe Beer Flat Top Can

Fox Deluxe Waukesha Flat Top

The Fox Deluxe Beer flat top can produced by Fox Head Brewing Company in Waukesha, Wisconsin, represents a notable cross-regional chapter in Midwestern brewing history. Originally developed as the flagship label for Chicago's Peter Fox Brewing Company, the brand was later canned at the historic Fox Head plant in Waukesha.

Waukesha's heritage as the "Spring City"—famed for its natural mineral springs—served as a central selling point on the container. The label emphasized this regional asset with promotional phrasing such as "Brewed in Greater Milwaukee with Waukesha Water". The graphic design features the distinctive Fox Deluxe script typography paired with Fox Head's trademark fox imagery, accented by metallic gold, cream, and red tones.

For breweriana collectors, this can presents considerable interest due to several documented production variations. Differences across manufacturing runs include variations in typography color—such as versions printed with brown text alongside versions with darker lettering—as well as subtle changes in the mandatory brewery statements and bottom-rim promotional slogans.
