Fox Deluxe Waukesha Beer Flat Top Can

Fox Deluxe Waukesha Flat Top

The Fox Deluxe Waukesha Beer Flat Top Can represents a key piece of Midwestern breweriana history, marking the intersection between the legacy of Chicago's Peter Fox Brewing Company and the historic Fox Head Brewing Company in Waukesha, Wisconsin.

Heritage and Water Marketing

Waukesha earned nationwide fame as "Spring City" due to its natural mineral springs. Fox Head leaned heavily into this regional reputation, and cans produced for this label famously included promotional taglines emphasizing local spring water, such as "Brewed In Greater Milwaukee With Waukesha Water." This marketing strategy allowed the brand to emphasize water quality while appealing to consumers throughout the broader Milwaukee and Upper Midwest distribution markets.

Design and Manufacturing

The can showcases metallic gold and red fields accented by the traditional Fox Deluxe script branding. Produced by major container manufacturers, including the National Can Company, the container exemplifies the rich lithographed tinplate design characteristic of regional mid-century brewery releases.

Known Variations
