Gold Coast Premium Beer 12 Oz Zip Top Can

Drewrys Gold Coast Zip Top Can

Gold Coast Premium Beer was produced by Drewrys Ltd. U.S.A., Inc. at their primary brewing facility in South Bend, Indiana. Drewrys, which established deep American roots after acquiring the historic Muessel Brewing Company plant in South Bend, grew into one of the most prominent regional brewing powerhouses in the Midwest during the mid-20th century.

During its peak operational years, Drewrys expanded its footprint by maintaining a diverse portfolio of regional and value-tier labels alongside its flagship line. Gold Coast Premium Beer was marketed as one of these specialized label offerings. The can face showcases clean mid-century graphic styling, bold label typography, and metallic accents designed to stand out on retail shelves.

Manufactured by packaging suppliers such as the National Can Company, the container reflects the mid-century evolution of beverage packaging. Breweriana collectors document variations across different production runs, featuring differences in mandatory text layout, copyright indicators, and can manufacturer logos. Following major industry consolidations and corporate changes surrounding Drewrys in the late 20th century, secondary labels like Gold Coast were retired, making surviving examples valued pieces of South Bend brewing heritage.
