Gold Label, Colorado Beer 12 Oz Tab Top Can

Walter's Colorado Gold Label Can

Produced by the Walter Brewing Company of Pueblo, Colorado, the Gold Label Colorado Beer can represents a prominent regional label from one of southern Colorado's most enduring independent brewing operations.

Design & Graphic Features

The can showcases prominent branding for Colorado Gold Label Beer, accented with rich metallic gold tones and clean typography that highlighted its regional heritage. Imagery associated with the label emphasized Walter's Colorado roots through mountain-inspired motifs and crisp graphic framing. The Walter Brewing Company utilized the Gold Label brand as a dedicated regional product line alongside its core namesake beers.

Variations & Collector Significance

Among breweriana collectors, this can holds strong appeal due to its distinct geographic tie to Pueblo brewing history. Collectors recognize variations of the can, with differences found in canning manufacturer hallmarks, subtle alterations in the mandatory text layout, and shifts in the background metallic sheen. Because the Pueblo brewery operated on a regional scale before its eventual closing, cans carrying the Colorado Gold Label brand were produced in far smaller runs than national contemporary counterparts, making them a fixture of Rocky Mountain beer can collections.
