Grace Bros Bavarian Beer 16 Oz Tab Top Can

Grace Bros Bavarian Pint Can

The Grace Bros Bavarian Beer 16-ounce tab top can represents a notable chapter in California brewing history, combining the heritage of Northern California's Grace Brothers Brewing with the prolific production operations of Maier Brewing Company in Los Angeles.

Originally established in Santa Rosa, the Grace Bros brand built strong regional recognition throughout the West Coast. As regional market dynamics shifted, the brand name and recipes were eventually produced and packaged under contract by Maier Brewing Company. Maier was renowned for keeping classic regional labels active across California and the broader Western market.

This 16-ounce "half-quart" pint can is distinguished by its bold layout and German-inspired Bavarian styling, featuring traditional heraldic imagery and bold lettering tailored for the extended can size. The side panel proudly identifies Maier Brewing Company of Los Angeles as the canning and brewing authority.

Among collectors of Maier and California regional breweriana, this pint can remains an engaging piece of West Coast brewing consolidation. Across various manufacturing runs, several subtle variations exist that showcase differing mandatory text layouts, canning company identifiers, and lid stampings.
