Grain Belt Premium Friendly Beer Cone Top Can

Grain Belt Friendly Beer Can

Produced by the Minneapolis Brewing Company in Minneapolis, Minnesota, the Grain Belt Premium Friendly Beer cone top represents a celebrated chapter in Upper Midwest brewing history. The Minneapolis Brewing Company, established through the consolidation of four local breweries, became an industrial landmark in Northeast Minneapolis, anchoring regional brewing culture for decades.

This can proudly features the brand's long-running promotional identity, "The Friendly Beer," positioned alongside the classic bottle cap emblem and diamond graphic framework. The bold visual design incorporates red, white, and metallic gold accents that made the Grain Belt label instantly recognizable in taverns and retail displays throughout Minnesota and neighboring states.

For breweriana enthusiasts, this can remains a cornerstone of Upper Midwest can collections. Variations exist across production runs, distinguished by differences such as the presence or absence of Internal Revenue Tax Paid (IRTP) phrasing, mandatory alcohol content statements, and slight shifts in the brewery text and metallic shading. These variations make assembling a representative run of the label an engaging pursuit for regional collectors.

Beyond its graphic appeal, the can stands as a tangible artifact of Minneapolis's industrial heritage and the heyday of independent Midwestern brewing.
