Hamm's Beer 11 Oz Zip/Tab Top Can

Hamm's 11 Oz San Francisco Tab Top

The Theo. Hamm Brewing Company expanded its footprint beyond its historic home base in Minnesota by acquiring and operating a West Coast production facility in San Francisco, California. This regional hub allowed the brewery to efficiently supply western markets while tailoring its packaging to regional retail standards.

The 11-ounce volume is a signature West Coast packaging format, where 11-ounce sizes were widely popularized across California and neighboring states rather than standard 12-ounce sizes. The can features the classic Hamm's corporate livery, including the iconic red crown insignia, blue-and-white background, and the famous slogan, "From the Land of Sky Blue Waters". The brewery address on the label specifically identifies the Theo. Hamm Brewing Co. operation in San Francisco, California.

Collectors track several variations of this can, which include differences in mandatory state alcohol statements, can manufacturer trademarks, and variations in metal construction ranging from steel bodies to all-aluminum cans.
