Hamm's Genuine Draft 11 Oz Tab Top Can

Hamm's SF Genuine Draft 11 oz Can

Produced by the Theo. Hamm Brewing Company out of its San Francisco, California facility, this 11-ounce tab top container represents a regional packaging format popular primarily across Western United States markets. While 12-ounce containers served as the standard volume for most domestic brewers, West Coast operations frequently released 11-ounce cans.

The can design features the classic branding of the Hamm's Genuine Draft lineup, rendered in all-aluminum construction. Collectors appreciate this piece for its specific mandatory plant information, which identifies the San Francisco location as part of the company's broader multi-city packaging network. Known variations of this can exist in the hobby, displaying differences in silver lettering, slogan phrasing, and manufacturing crimping profiles.

Because of its West Coast regional distribution and distinct volume format, this San Francisco issue remains an interesting artifact of Theodore Hamm's western expansion and regional packaging history.
